Bagmati Zone

Bagmati Zone (Nepali: बागमती अञ्चल), is a zone of Nepal which is named after the Bagmati River. It is in Central Development Region of Nepal. The zone contains the Kathmandu Valley with its conurbation of 1.5 million inhabitants.

Bagmati is divided into eight districts:

1. Bhaktapur District : Bhaktapur

2. Dhading District : Dhading

3. Lalitpur District : Patan

4. Kathmandu District : Kathmandu

5. Kavrepalanchok District : Dhulikhel

6. Nuwakot District : Bidur

7. Rasuwa District  : Dhunche

8. Sindhupalchok District : Chautara
